Short animation film ”Vagina Confinement”, written by Empire Pictures’ Saana Räntilä, has received a scriptwriting grant from AVEK, the center of promotion of audiovisual culture in Finland.

Short film Oslo (2012), directed by Luis Ernesto Doñas and produced by Empire Pictures’ Saana Räntilä, will be presented in “Cine Cubano in Cuarentena” (“Cuban Cinema During the Confinement”), a programme directed to distribute Cuban cinema during the COVID-19 and curated by Cuban filmmaker Marcel Beltrán.

Oslo has been previously selected to more than 40 international film festivals, winning dozens of awards (e.g. award for the Best Latin-American Short Film in the prestigious Viña del Mar film festival 2013), making it one of the most successful Cuban short films of all time.
